The Nahe is a very underrated region in Germany, located directly west of Rheinhessen. Slate and volcanic rock. An organically grown Pinot Gris with stone fruit and pome fruit flavors and slightly less acidity, without losing too much freshness. Dry, straightforward, and balanced. Everything you are looking for in a classic Grauburgunder. From Weingut Hahnmühle. The combination of volcanic soils, slate, and organic farming creates a complex expression of Pinot Gris with mineral notes, ripe stone fruit, and the distinctive earthy character the Nahe is known for.
