Albillo Lovamor Orange Natural Wine
The grapes are fermented with their skins for six days, after which the wine rests for a while in small stainless steel tanks until the sediment settles and the wine is bottled unfiltered and unsulfured. The result is an orange wine that, despite its aromatic intensity, remains fresh. Orange blossom, apples, and toasted rye bread. Slightly less intensely aromatic than the Tragolargo, with a bit more freshness and structure. Structured and complex, yet still juicy and fresh. A great introduction to the world of orange wines! Excellent, and a good alternative to the usual oranges from Italy or Georgia. Produced by Alfredo Maestro, one of the pioneering Spanish natural winemakers from Ribera del Duero. The Lovamor is made from the almost extinct Albillo (Albillo Mayor) grape variety, which comes from 60-120-year-old bush vines grown at an altitude of 700-1000 meters on calcareous clay soils. Alfredo Maestro practices organic and biodynamic viticulture and uses only wild yeasts for fermentation. The wine is bottled unfiltered, unfined, and without added sulfur.
